We are back from Delaware and the 2011 WCPC competition is over. We had another great time and better weather than last year. Once again we got to the field in Delaware on Wednesday morning and got set up. We were set up between Great Gourd Experiment and Hurling Chunks. Both teams are great neighbors and we all had alot of fun. The trebuchets started off the contest everyday at 8 am. so we were done shooting by 8:30 -9:00, which of course gave us lots of time to have a good time and party.
On Friday and Saturday, the Science Channel came by and filmed us quite a bit. They got us to do all kind of silly stuff ( like running across the field and yelling, kinda like the battle charge in Braveheart). We had our friend Phil come by and play bagpipes for our throws and entertainment.
During Saturdays open throw, we again broke, one of our axle supports snapped in half during a practice throw and we dropped the arm and cw box. We worked on it until 10:30pm to get it fixed. Many thanks to GGE for providing tools and our friends for lending a helping hand.
Our throws were not where we wanted them but we had a great time as usual. We had throws of 482', 291' and 443'. Good for 13th place. Thanks to all who helped and supported us during the last year. Next year it will be a new year so hopefully we will have a new and improved machine!

ABOUT US
In the fall of 2008, Joe and Jared (better known as Kapp..) decided to play hookie from work on a friday and went to see Punkin Chunkin for the first time. After being awestruck by the centrifugals and air cannons, the mechanicals just inspired them to say "we can do this" and they decided to build a machine to compete the following year.
After getting back to work and deciding on what to build, word spread among the co-workers about the plans for a trebuchet. Dale heard of the plans for a trebuchet and stepped up and offered his place to build and test it. Cinderella's Revenge was born. Plans were drawn up and the team got alot of help since the guys worked with such a diverse and crafty bunch of fellows, offers of help, materials and ideas came from lots of people.
The trebuchet was built over the summer of 2009 and was finished a week before the chunk. The team had 5 practice throws to dial it in the best they could before dissembling it to transport to Delaware.
The first year of competition the team had a goal of beating 500' and with throws of 810', 756' and 866' that goal was far surpassed.
